Mass Development

The School of Architecture is working with Mass Development to develop new ways to think strategically about the future for the cities and towns of the Commonwealth. In 2008-09 the School worked with CEO Robert Culver and Planer Ed Starzec on the City of New Bedford. Over the course of two semesters, students and public officials worked with NU faculty members Tom Chung, Tiffany Lin, David Hacin, Peter Wiederspahn, and visitor Catherine Venart to create several options for new housing and a re-located YMCA as a way of reinvigorating the aging city's downtown.
